Everyone’s going totally loco about the new breakfast offerings at Taco Bell, including the waffle taco. McDonald’s has long been the reigning fast food chain for morning artery-clogging delights, and Taco Bell is here to not so subtly tell them it’s time to surrender the throne.

What Would Ronald McDonald Say?

The answer to that question, friends, comes in the new Taco Bell commercial in which the ground meat gurus rounded up 25 men from around the country who live the unfortunate reality of having the same name as the terrifying culinary clown. In the style of a political ad, these Ronalds voice their support for the Bell’s foray into mornings, which also includes the A.M. Crunchwrap and Cinnabon Delights. This just got personal.

Meanwhile, the real Ronald McDonald has locked himself in the meat locker of a Fargo, North Dakota, McDonalds. He sobs thick, wet tears, each plunking down on his big red shoes. He softly hums “Send in the Clowns” as he gently cups an Egg McMuffin in his yellow be-gloved hands, knowing soon he’ll have to wave the flag and surrender in the breakfast war.
