Having arms seems like a prerequisite for playing ping pong, but Ibhrahim Hamato proves that’s not so. The Egyptian pong player lost his arms in an accident when he was 10 years old, but didn’t let it stop him form playing his favorite game.

Hamato has been gaining attention for a couple of years now playing ping pong by holding the paddle in his mouth. He’s been able to keep up with some of the best in the world, and he was recently invited as an honored guest of the International Table Tennis Federation President Adham Sharara at the ZEN-NOH 2014 World Team Table Tennis Championships in Tokyo.

A translation of some of Hamato’s comments are inspiring:

“After trying different options I found myself playing with my mouth. The best thing in my life is my wife who is everything to me. The second part is table tennis where I find my biggest success being able to enjoy every point I win. Nothing is impossible as long as you work hard.
