It’s good to know that the charismatically challenged Wolf Blitzer can get down with his bad self. It’s also good to know that his post-Katrina, off-the-cuff remark that “So many of these people, almost all of them that we see, are so poor, and they are so black” hasn’t led to lingering ill will with the black community.
The CNN anchor dropped by the Soul Train Awards this week to introduce ’80s hip-hop icon Doug E. Fresh, and the whitest dude in TV history proceeded to ask the man to teach him some moves.
Blitzer said “I’ll be honest with you. The real reason I’m here tonight is not to bring you the news as I do with The Situation Room every night. The real reason I came here tonight is because I want to learn how to do the ‘Dougie.'” The jury’s still out on whether he learned it.
