Jonathan Davis is the frontman for the band Korn, of “Freak on a Leash” fame. He is also apparently an amateur fan fiction writer, with his latest work involving the President of the United States and America’s favorite twerker.

Davis explained the meaning behind the video and lyrics for Korn’s new song “Spike in my Veins.” Here are some sample lyrics to whet your pallet:

We are the ones taking all the pain
Falling on our faces
They don’t care anyway
Anyway, now
You’re the one that makes me feel like I’m alive
You’re the one that pushes me all the time
All the time, now

We are hard and grey
Always fate, to do what they say
Calling me deranged
Feeling power, I must take its place some way

His colorful explanation sounds an awful lot like something you’d see from a Reddit user with a name like BirtherBoy6969:

“I think that our government uses those people to distract from what’s really going on…the thing with Miley Cyrus at the VMAs, when that went down, I think Barack Obama passed a law that he is basically a dictator, he can imprison whoever he wants, he doesn’t have to charge them, he can hold them as long as he wants.”

How he managed to get from point A to point B is what’s truly fascinating here. Is Miley imprisoned by Barack Obama? Is that what he’s trying to say? Maybe he should stick with screaming about feelings and forget politics for now.

And for your viewing pleasure, here is “Spike in my Veins.” Enjoy the gratuitous use of Rob Ford footage.
