[VIDEO] Jon Stewart: Not a Fan of President Obama’s Not War Speech
President Obama’s 27-minute “We’re not at war but we’re kinda at war” address to the nation was predictably panned by Republican party leaders and his potential 2012 opponents.
House Speaker John Boehner said the speech failed “to provide Americans much clarity to our involvement.” Political celebrity Sarah Palin said she was “profoundly disappointed” by a “dodgy and dubious” address. Former U.N. Ambassador and Swedish Chef lookalike John Bolton simply called it “pathetic.” Mr. Irrelevant Rudy Giuliani said it only make things “murkier,” then sat quietly trying to figure out how to mix 9/11 into the proceedings. And Mr. Birther 2011 Donald Trump commended the president for “trying hard” before accusing President Obama of breaking constitutional law.
But President Obama’s speech picked up another major critic on Tuesday night, when The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart forgot to be impressed by the great orator’s message. We’ll let the video speak for itself, but the high comedy comes when Stewart wonders whether handing over control to NATO would be akin to Beyonce handing control to her alter-ego “Sasha Fierce.” Oh, and Wolf Blitzer gets hit, too.

President Obama, you best be careful. Losing Stewart may just be worse than losing the rest of the “lamestream media.” Nothing stings more than a brilliant comedian with a barrel full of ink.
