Master Blaster: Stevie Wonder Sees the Problem With Gun Control

In an interview with Piers Morgan Monday, Stevie Wonder said that he wanted to prove a point with gun control. Wonder suggested that he should buy a gun, because as a blind person, to buy one would show how ridiculous the current laws are.

Wonder’s comments came just over a month after the Sandy Hook shooting, and days after a New Mexico teen shot and killed his family. This is what Wonder had to say to the CNN host:

“I saw you on the TV talking about the whole gun thing, and I was talking to one of my friends, and I said, you know, you should go get me a gun, let me go with you to get a gun, and then I can show how easy it is for me to get a gun. Then imagine me with a gun. It’s just crazy. I think we have to do something about it.”

Though we assumed that Wonder has no intentions of actually purchasing a firearm, his point on the state of American gun control is clear. The current system makes it too easy to purchase a weapon, and must be reformed to make any progress in ending the violence.
