The fan voting on Hasbro’s “Save Your Token” Facebook page was close, turning into a three-way loser-leaves-town matchup between the Boot, the Wheelbarrow and the Iron. Ultimately, the Iron got the boot. Hasbro, in an effort to update the famous board game, killed off the token to make room for one “that’s more representative of today’s Monopoly players.” Well, nothing could more representative of the Internet Era than a cat.
