Finnish Kayaker Rescues Owl, Walks Away With Terrific Photos

Aboard a kayak on Finland’s Lake Tuusula, Pentti Taskinen saw something splashing in the water. When he paddled closer, he realized it was an owl about to suffer a slow, hypothermic death. So he saved it.

Taskinen then took these marvelous photos:
