Considering that Belo Horizonte, the third largest metro area in Brazil, will host six World Cup matches, the Association of Prostitutes is anticipating a necessity for their members to learn English.
With 4,000 members in a country where prostitution is legal, the organization wants its members to operate effectively during these major events, according to the AP.
Vieira, president of the association, said: “It will be important for the girls will be able to use English to let their clients know what they are charging and learn about what turns them on.”
Given the top court of Brazil’s recent ruling that sex with underage prostitutes may not be a crime, let’s just hope these girls are of age.
Brazil is also the home of soccer legend Pelé, as well as Rafaela Montanaro, Miss Pole Dance South America.
