The Ferris Bueller Honda CR-V Super Bowl Ad Is Here Unlike life, this one’ll be hard to miss. We teased it last week, and now it’s arrived: Matthew Broderick starring in a Honda-produced homage to his 1986 classic, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. It’s a condensed, scene-by-scene, line-by-line salute: Broderick fakes a sickness to play hooky from work; his agent does a double-take when he sees Broderick on the road; the valets pull off the big jump in the CR-V — it’s all here, and it’s glorious. Definitely worth doing, but they couldn’t spring from Principal Ed Rooney and his secretary Grace? Or even a slight head nod to Jennifer Grey and Charlie Sheen meeting at the police station? Jerry Seinfeld is also starring in a pre-released Super Bowl ad for a car company. Watch: PREVIOUSLY: • ¡Ferris Bueller Super Bowl Ad!
