This Ten Commandments monument was unveiled outside of Oklahoma’s Capitol building on Thursday of last week, despite three years of protestation from the American Civil Liberties Union.
But what story about the lack of separation of church and state would be complete without Schadenfreude? Here, the word ‘Sabbath,’ in the fourth commandment — as in, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy” — is misspelled as “Sabbeth.” Um, yeah.
The ACLU, despite its opposition, says it will not file a lawsuit.
