Saturday night brought us the biggest and brightest full moon of the year (perhaps that helps explain the strange occurrence of Justin Bieber being involved in the biggest boxing match of 2012).

The “supermoon,” as it’s called, was about 15,000 miles closer to earth than usual last night. The difference, to the naked eye, was barely noticeable, but it did make for some good photos.
