One Member of Pussy Riot Freed Follow Us Back in August, three members of Russian punk band Pussy Riot were found guilty of “hooliganism motivated by religious hatred” after a 40-second performance in Moscow’s main cathedral — the most sacred site of the Russian Orthodox Church — in which they asked the Virgin Mary to protect citizens from Putin. The three were given two-year prison sentences. One member of the jailed three, Yekaterina Samutsevich, had her sentence suspended on Wednesday. Read more at our Weeping Elvis music site.
