The 300-something passengers on Delta Flight 486 from Atlanta to New York on Wednesday night were in for a real treat when the aircraft reached its cruising altitude of 30,000 (happy) feet. This happened:

Yahoo!’s Dylan Stableford was aboard the flight — his fun write-up included this nugget: “The foot-and-a-half tall penguins, Pete and Penny, ages 6 and 12, were en route to the New York premiere of ‘Frozen Planet,’ a new Discovery Channel documentary series narrated by Alec Baldwin. The screening, held Thursday at the Lincoln Center, was followed by a ‘polar-themed’ party, hosted by Baldwin, Dustin Hoffman and Glenn Close, among other environmentally-conscious luminaries.”

The fleeting moment of YouTube joy is great and all, but please, for the love of God, people, hold your camera phones sideways when you’re taking videos. Landscape rules, portrait drools.
