For the better part of the last decade, May Day rallies around the country have mainly been about highlighting the absurdity of the anti-illegal immigration crusade. This year, however, while immigrants rights groups are taking part in the festivities, it’s all about whether Occupy Wall Street lives or dies.
Occupy protesters, along with labor unions and immigrants rights groups, are taking to the streets in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and more than 100 cities across the country on this “day without the 99 Percent.” To see what’s happening on the ground in NYC — the march to Union Square, then to Wall Street — legendary OWS livestreamer Tim Pool will be up and running all day long.

Gawker’s Adrian Chen reported on Monday that “the NYPD visited at least three activist homes in New York and interrogated residents about plans for tomorrow’s protest.”
