Obama, Romney to Have Private Lunch at White House on Thursday

Mitt Romney will get to have a White House lunch after all. But just one.

President Obama and the defeated Republican challenger will share a closed-door lunch in the Private Dining Room on the Residence level of the Executive Mansion, the White House said in a brief statement on Wednesday. No press or photographers allowed, but surely official photographer Pete Souza will release a photo or two on the Flickr feed.

First, Romney needs to clean himself up from his post-election sloth:

A Romney aide said, “It was a gracious invitation from the president, which Mitt Romney was glad to accept,” BuzzFeed’s Zeke Miller tweeted.
