Mitt Romney is back in Michigan, trying to connect with human beings in a last-ditch effort to put Rick Santorum away in Tuesday’s primary in one of his three “home” states.
And even though he says he opposed the auto bailout, R-Money told the sparse crowd about how glad he was that he sees Detroit-made cars on the road. For you see, not only does the Common Man Romney drive American cars, his wife does too. But, hey, why stop there? She drives “a couple of Cadillacs actually.” That’s how you connect with the hard-workin’ folk, people.
“It just feels good being back in Michigan,” Romney told the crowd. “The trees are the right height. The streets are just right. I like the fact that most of the cars I see are Detroit-made automobiles. I drive a Mustang and a Chevy pick-up truck. Ann drives a couple of Cadillacs actually.”
