The fact is a candidate for either party is going to make promises that they will not be able to accomplish. Usually the only difference is weather or not the candidate has the intention to actually try. Most of the time even if they are trying the general public will not have access to the information to prove their efforts. Obama didn’t accomplish his promises simply because thats the nature of the office. If Romney manages to win it will be the same in 4 years with his promises. Only the truly blind and naive would think otherwise. In 4 years if Romney wins, the next election will be the “I told you it was harder than it looks” campaign and all the promises about how “I can make it happen when the current President can’t” will be thrown at Romney and he will have to spend most of his time defending why his big talk didn’t happen. I don’t hold myself to either party because of this fact. Choosing one party limits you to blindly going with whatever your party says is right rather than looking at the situation and making a choice that is best for that situation regardless of which party said it first (there are only so many ways to solve a problem. both parties probably want to make the best choice and probably think the same way but have to disagree with whoever says it first because “my party” didn’t say it). It really comes down to who has the country’s best interests in mind instead of their own. Obama might not have been effective in some of the areas he wanted to make changes in but at least I can believe he has Americas best interests at heart in what he tries to do. Name one president who has been able to accomplish everything he wanted to and never made a bad decision. Reagan was probably the best President we have ever had and even he had these problems. Romney I just can’t trust. He is only out for himself which is painfully clear by his inability to both fully explain his plans or give an opinion and stick with it. He seems to change what his stance is according to what is popular opinion at the time and what will get him votes. So even though I’m not really happy with either choice, I think Obama is the better of the two. If the republicans had picked Ron Paul or almost anyone else my opinion might be different. As for Trump and his money he has more than enough to help New York with $5 million and still have $5 million held back in his desperate attempt to get Romney in office so he can make even more money than he is (nothing wrong with wanting to make more money but once you get to his level just call it what it is. GREED). That is pocket change to him. If I could give that much without it having any negative affect on me being able to support my family then I would. Trump is in this position. He can its just a matter of will his greed allow him to.

There is an opportunity for our president, Obama, to fund the New York clean-up and rescue effort with 5,000,000 million dollars courtesy of Donald Trump. If I understand correctly, the role of OUR president is to help US, not worry about his image with US which, in my opinion, will be more slandered if he does not accept this help. If he does not want to release the records he can also fund the effort out of his own pocket. He won’t do that though, he will let the hard working New Yorkers pick up the slack, all to save his image. If Obama is worried that his image would get slandered from releasing college transcripts and passport applications, I can only imagine the bigger things he’s covering up.
