Joe Paterno Statue Removed, Penn State Punished By NCAA

MONDAY UPDATE: Punishment? Penn State will be fined $60M, given a four-year bowl ban, have all its wins from 1998-2001 vacated, sit on probation for five years, have its scholarships reduced to only 15 for next four years … and one Bud Kilmer statue removed.

There goes the legacy of Joe Paterno.

Penn State University officials announced this weekend the school would remove the now-unacceptable shrine to JoePa following a damning investigative report that found the late coach and other top school administrators concealed claims of sex abuse against Jerry Sandusky.
