Today we’re proud to announce the launch of SpikeTheWatercooler.com, a career, entertainment, politics, media-watch, gossip & blog community for awesome women.

Spike the Watercooler is a home for modern ladies who acknowledge that being a woman can be pretty damn fun, and that it’s possible to be feminine and kick butt in the workplace.

Here’s where STWC differs from what’s out there now: This is not a color-me-pink version of the major news sites or a sounding board for mean-girl types who spend their days analyzing the gossip rags for new wrinkles on reality show celebrities so they can feel better about themselves.

“Spike the Watercooler is a virtual meeting place for women to get uncensored advice from other wise women and for all of us to share our candid experiences,” says Founder Marjorie Clifton, principal of Clifton Consulting LLC and a frequent political commentator for Fox News and CNN. “It’s here to acknowledge that there’s a little Liz Lemon and Bridget Jones in all of us.”

What can you expect? Let’s take a look at what’s featured on Day 1:

• In the Future, Feminist Comedy Will Include Men

• The Five Worst Pieces of Advice I’ve Gotten While Job Searching

Why I Founded Spike The Watercooler

• Crowdfunding Rockstars: Revolights

• Vegetable Gardens Are The New Black

Spike the Watercooler joins Distriction (DC), Headlines That Suck (media nonsense), Weeping Elvis (music) and HyperVocal (the flagship) in the HyperVocal Network’s growing suite of digital properties.
