These photos of a Detroit man pointing a shotgun at the Google Street View team are relatively old news — time-stamped 2009, and they appeared on a Detroit message board on July 1 — but the Internet started buzzing anew after a user on aggregator-extraordinare Reddit posted them on Wednesday.

The pics made the rounds again after a connection was made between this house and the death of a young girl, according to Detroit News:

The photos were taken at the same Brinker Street home where a 1-year-old girl’s dead body was discovered in a closet in June shortly after relatives reported her missing, according to public records.

Zyia Turner and several other children were being cared for by an uncle at the Brinker home on June 29. Police said the man briefly left the room, and when he returned, the girl was gone.

HyperVocal editors contacted the Google Street View team and got exclusive dash cam video from the car rolling down Brinker Street:

The Huffington Post reports the Detroit Police Department says “that it’s not investigating Google Street View images that appear to show a young man pointing a gun at the camera-equipped Street View car, even though the images show the same house where Zyia Turner, a 17-month-old girl, was found dead in June.” Makes sense, actually.
