On SNL, Chris Christie Kills It: ‘I’m Gonna Die In This Fleece’ You know it’s a tough night on Saturday Night Live when New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie puts host Jeremy Renner to comedy shame. Follow Us Christie, killing it! Sadly, he really might die in that fleece if he doesn’t take better care of himself. Christie, racking up the good press again — can you imagine the 2013 NJ governor’s race if Cory Booker hops in? The press may implode on itself like a giant star. Also, somewhat related, Booker and Christie once did some bipartisan sketch comedy together: SEE ALSO: • Crazy NJ Mom Attacks Christie’s Decision to Postpone Halloween • Christie Will Campaign for Rep. Steve King, Has Short Memory Christie tweeted this backstage pic with SNL doppelganger Bobby Moynihan: Elsewhere on SNL, the Your Hometown/going home for Thanksgiving pre-recorded sketch was one of the funnier bits of the season. SNL, unlike many sketch shows, works best via truth-in-comedy — this one is too dead-on. Edgar Allen 18.11.12 @ 10:46 pm Thanks for the article, Slade. I thought Christie did a good job, for a politician. Sadly, I couldn’t watch the show last night because I was stuck working late in my office at DISH. Thankfully, DISHOnline.com posts the show in their free section the next day. I just got finished watching the show, and I thought it was very cool of Chris Christie to make an appearance. His visit brings a little light heartedness to an area of the country that was hit very hard. Some commenter’s are upset that he went on TV, but laughter can be very healing for communities.
