Ouch: Striking Chicago Teachers Hit Mayor Emanuel Below the Belt

Picket lines are expected for a second straight day on Tuesday after 26,000 Chicago-area teachers went on strike for the first time in 25 years. Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the Chicago Teachers Union failed to come to an agreement, leaving 400,000 schoolkids to their own devices.

As you can see, the picketing educators aren’t playing nicely. As Daniel Strauss noted, “Civility has disappeared in Chicago Teachers Union protests.”

Ouch. That’s a pretty low blow, teachers.

Incredibly important update: The mayor does not like Nickelback.
