4chan Busts Lettuce-Stomping Burger King Employee UPDATE: Read below for Burger King’s official statement. 4chan’s ruthless troll cesspool Anonymous has a reputation of being a group you don’t want to mess with if you enjoy things like privacy, working Internet access and a lack of death threats. The online army has hacked Sarah Palin, bullied 11-year-old girls, dismantled Apple’s stock and launched semi-successful DDOS attacks on everyone from Gawker to white-nationalist blogger Hal Turner. It attacked MasterCard and Visa in defense of Wikileaks. It also got some guy to have sex with a human skull, which you are welcome to Google. • Tom Cruise, Reddit Is Trying to Tell You Something • ‘God’ on Facebook Redirects to Bruce Campbell Its most recent victory? An identity hunt for a Burger King employee who posted pictures of someone stomping on the store’s open container of lettuce (above). The original poster didn’t bother stripping the embedded GPS data from his pictures (something imgur.com does automatically), and the pissed-off /b/ quickly found the fast-food joint’s address (in Mayfield Heights, near Cleveland) and (supposedly) contacted the branch manager and local news. Here’s the whole process — it only took about 15 minutes. Click for big. So: Does he still have a job? Did people eat the shoe lettuce? Who is the Burger Jester? We’ll keep you posted if/when the story gets picked up in local news. Here’s Burger King’s official statement, sent to Fox8 Cleveland: We are aware of the photo that was allegedly posted by an employee at a BURGER KING® restaurant in Ohio and are taking the issue very seriously. Food safety is a top priority for BURGER KING® restaurants and the company has strict policies regarding its food handling procedures. We are investigating the matter and will take appropriate action as necessary. raygungirl 17.07.12 @ 6:53 pm I feel rewarded for always asking for no lettuce at every restaurant ever. Heh.
A Random Cresfellow 18.07.12 @ 2:10 am I’ve worked at a BK… recently. Their ‘strict food handling’ training involved training me to properly hold the food beyond its allowed time in order to save on food costs. I am a certified food service manager and they knew it as I presented my credentials at the interview. Obviously I am no longer working there.
Ashlynsenglaub 18.07.12 @ 7:34 pm I just need someone to hack five accounts on a site named Gaia online. I need someone to hack ZOMBIESridingUNICORNS, P L E A S E M E E XD, TH3 HIGH LIF3, MMtwinky, Lab rats, and S T O N N E R XD, It’s a twenty year old female troll who poses as a young man to get underage girls to have cybersex with her. I get it, this is the internet, also. There is no more to catch a predator. Which is why this bitch needs to be taken down vigilante style. Free cupcakes and shit to the person that’s able to do it.
Bmumba 19.07.12 @ 2:50 am Before anybody accuses this employee of a crime, show the proof that the salad was sold. Maybe it was thrown away after the pic was taken.
Jansbehindthedoor 19.07.12 @ 5:54 am i think that anybody eating trash from either kfc, mcdonalds or burgerking are wanting to die. this stuff is so not good 4 u.
