The world has been strangely Sheen-free since Ashton Kutcher continued his life’s plan of taking things that formerly belonged to 1980s celebrities. But the publicity-mad actor is back…with some revenge.

Comedy Central will reportedly tape an “epic” roast of Charlie Sheen on September 10th and air it on September 19th. That date might not mean anything on the real calendar, but it’s also the night Ashton Kutcher will make his debut as Sheen’s replacement on CBS’ Two and a Half Men.

“You could say I’ve been providing kindling for this Roast for a while,” Sheen said in a statement, according to the Hollywood Reporter. “It’s time to light it up. It’s going to be epic.”

Roastmaster General Jeff Ross must be licking his chops in anticipation for what will undoubtedly be the best roast in years. But considering the Sheen jokes have been everywhere since his wall-to-wall PR blitz a few months ago, it’ll be interesting to see what kind of fresh material the roasters come up with for the gala event. The sheer amount of jokes on Twitter and late-night TV about porn stars, drugs and a constant craving for attention will definitely require Ross and his compatriots to up their games.

And, really, while the Sheen Upstages Kutcher meme here is a fun PR note, in the era of DVR, this isn’t exactly a huge hit to CBS’ Kutcher rollout, right?
