Be a Local Legend: Bring Justin Bieber to Your School Let’s say you are a teenage girl, and the time you spend in math class is mostly spent staring at your crazy, wild-haired teacher jumping around the room talking about right angles and such. Now imagine how excited you’d be if in the midst of said arithmetic, Justin Bieber was sitting at the next desk staring dreamily at you. So now think how cool you’d be if you could make that happen for your daughter, niece, sister, cousin (or yourself). Well…here’s your chance. Pencils of Promise (PoP), an organization that builds schools in the developing world, is running a fundraising challenge to help provide basic education for the 75 million children across the world currently without access. This is a cause close to HyperVocal’s heart. The top fundraiser will win a visit from Justin Bieber and PoP Founder Adam Braun to a school of their choice (meaning your school or your alma mater or your favorite 14-year-old girl’s school). They are also offering 4 trips to visit their projects on the ground in Guatemala, randomly drawn from all fundraisers who raise over $100 (but let’s be honest, a moment with the Biebs is what we are all after). In order to enter, just go to www.schools4all.org and follow the on-screen instructions to create your very own fundraising page. Once your page is created, you’ll have a unique web address that you can forward along to your family and friends to start raising money. And either you will become the greatest alumnus your middle or high school has ever known… …or you’ll simply help educate some kids around the world, which is something you can at least say you have in common with The Biebs.
