On a day of madness down at Zuccotti Park, home base and ground zero of the Occupy Wall Street movement, a private security contractor who works for Brookfield Properties, which owns the park, stepped up his game by contributing to the conversation in a very positive way.
Before protesters were allowed back in the park, a military veteran named Joey Boots, who has appeared on The Howard Stern Show, went down to try and identify the men and women in fluorescent vests who guarded the property and kept onlookers from stopping to gawk at the NYPD-Occupied park.
In the process of trying to name and shame, an unnamed member of the security team decided to treat Mr. Boots to a little taste of homophobia. “Your fly’s open, faggot,” he said.
The offending remark comes about 1:48 into this video.
The employee has been terminated. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
