‘The Foodroom’ Is Amy Schumer’s Perfect Parody of ‘The Newsroom’
There have been few shows in the history of television to inspire more impassioned rants than Aaron Sorkin’s The Newsroom. That’s probably because the whole show is a series of impassioned rants, and leaves the door wide open for mass ridicule.
What would happen if you took Sorkin’s ridiculously self-righteous characters and dropped them into a fast food joint? You’d get Amy Schumer’s The Foodroom, the perfect parody of the imperfect HBO drama.
Turns out serving up apple slices isn’t all that different from serving up sensationalist news.
