We often speak of “grand gestures” when it comes to dating, and thanks to the internet, people think making a YouTube video falls under that category.

A young fellow named Anthony Russo put together a musical tribute for his girlfriend Carolyn’s 18th birthday called “African Love You” (I freakin’ love you, get it?), and the result is … questionable.

The YouTube star admits that he made this video in “5 minutes.” (You don’t say?) But he wants you to know he’s self aware … and that his adoring girlfriend was totally into it.

I realize my rapping and singing is terrible. I am not a rapper nor singer. I’m a comedy person thing.

I also realize that this isn’t an amazing song/video but she loved it and I was proud.

Here’s a pic of the happy couple.
