Marcia Wallace, whose face is best remembered for her role as Carol Kester on The Bob Newhart Show but whose voice is best remembered through the character of Mrs. Edna Krabappel, died last week at the age of 70.

Remembering its fallen cast member, The Simpsons on Sunday paid tribute to Wallace the best way they could: a chalkboard gag.

FOX also aired a Mrs. Krabappel-centric episode called “The Ned-liest Catch” in place of an American Dad re-run immediately before.
