Alison Brie’s recent performance with her band, The Girls, reminded us there are a few leadings ladies with hidden singing capabilities. Okay, they aren’t anywhere close to Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston, but they have pleasant voices. Here are the best examples of their musical past:

1. ‘We’re Going To Be Friends,’ Alison Brie (Community, Mad Men)

Fun fact: The Dougie-hating Charleston aficionado’s band, The Girls, has covered everyone from Robyn to Hall & Oates.

2. ‘Cups,’ Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect, Up In The Air)

Fun Fact: The Gosling masturbator’s first role was in Camp, a move musical about kids at a performing arts summer camp.

3. ‘No One Will Ever Love You,’ Connie Britton (Nashville, FNL)

Fun Fact: Britton actually got her start singing and dancing, but she is most famous for her acting chops and wife of a coach schtick.

4. ‘Fame,’ Hayden Panettiere (Nashville, Heros)

Fun Fact: Panettiere was nominated for a Grammy in 1999.

5. ‘Winter Wonderland,’ Kate Bosworth (Blue Crush, Straw Dogs)

Fun Fact: The clip for Topshop was inspired by the famous piano scene with Michelle Pffeifer in The Fabulous Baker Boys.
