Looks like The Soup, the show on E! hosted by the guy from Community, is digging for a younger, hipper audience by releasing a short video mocking its potential young, hip audience. We’re skeptical, but this premise is pretty funny: ’90s rapper-celeb Vanilla Ice, now 44, moves to Echo Park in L.A. and starts playing ukulele covers of his own songs with a guitar-and-glockenspiel band of scruffy hipsters who can’t tell whether this is cool, lame, so lame it’s cool or vice versa.

Hipster jokes are, like, so not trendy right now, but you gotta admire the guy’s ability to stay relevant by making fun of himself. Maybe E! should call these guys next.
