UPDATE: Video emerges! See below …

It’s one of the most iconic teen romance images in cinema history: a lovestruck Lloyd Dobler holding a boombox over his head, blasting Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes” for Diane Court’s benefit.

Twenty-three years after Cameron Crowe’s Say Anything birthed a million win-her-over parodies, John Cusack brought a boombox out on stage at Peter Gabriel’s Hollywood Bowl concert on Saturday night.

Say Anything … in real life.

But where was Ione Skye?!

Our friends at Hidden Track first reported on this and summed it up perfectly: “Cusack stood side stage all night at the show, which we hear was filmed for a future video release, and tweeted shots from the concert all night. Alright Tom Cruise, you’ve got to up the ante by strolling across a Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band stage in your undies during Old Time Rock and Roll.”
