Film buff Robin Nupponen’s video compilation of Swedish references in American films and TV shows probably confirms their worst suspicions about us yanks, who apparently know nothing about the country besides Ikea, Stockholm Syndrome, ridiculous accents, penis pumps, blonde women, nudity and free love.

“It is a stereotype that keeps going strong, the ‘myth’ of Sweden,” Nupponen says. But he’s also amused, even delighted, by all the fun we have at their expense: “It is fun to see Sweden mentioned as much as it actually is.”
