In the vast expanse of the Internet, 4Chan remains a bizarre, insular community of pranksters, trolls and Pedobear aficionados.

In 2012, 4chan continued to outdo itself, astounding the larger web community with not only ingenuity, but also all that free time.

Or that time they almost sent Taylor Swift to perform at a school for the deaf.

Some instances can be serious, like the gun threat that closed down a Washington high school.

Humanitarian of the Year: The Best of Kate and Her Uptons in 2012
Bill Murray’s 2012: The Life Exotic

But they do redeem themselves, like when they got these lettuce-stomping Burger King employees fired.

Above all, never ask for their help with Photoshop.
