The New York Post has ended the year on a questionable note. First, it gave us the rightly lambasted DOOMED subway snuff cover. The assassin cover that followed continued on its motto of “death sells.” Then the Post crescendoed with the tasteless “Picked to Death” Mark Sanchez headline juxtaposed against its front-page Newtown coverage.

What did you expect from the Post? It’s a publication that largely predicates itself on awful puns and wordplay even your corny uncle would wince at. HyperVocal did the dirty work of digging through its 2012 cover archive to bring you the cheesiest, the punniest and the downright awful. Enjoy!
