Who knows how long HBO’s one-off special Talking Funny is going to last on YouTube. But it’s there, right now, for your viewing pleasure! It goes without saying that the show, which is available in its entirety spread out over four parts, hasn’t been gift wrapped with a bow from the official HBO YouTube channel.

That makes things a bit precarious. So watch it as quickly as you can. It’s so good.

Basically, stand-up legends Ricky Gervais, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Louis C.K. sit down for an hour to talk comedy shop. It’s a great discussion and fairly revealing about the process that goes into bona fide comedy. It’s also a revealing look at the differences between what funny people find funny and how generational differences infect how they approach their routines.

It’s nice to know that when we predicted this would kill from the trailer, we weren’t crazy for thinking so. It’s also nice to know that over-analyzing comedy is also funny.

(By the way, the videos got uploaded on April 25th, so there’s a good chance they’re not coming down anytime soon)

Here’s part two, three and four.
