[VIDEO] Zach Galifianakis Redefines the SNL Monologue for Second Time

Posted March 14, 2011 10:33am by

Ever wonder what a grown bearded man looks like in a Little Orphan Annie dress?

Zach Galifianakis, the comedian that we sometimes think started his career on a dare to see if he could get famous, hosted Saturday Night Live for the second time over the weekend. His opening monologue was the kind of funny that you don’t usually get to see from SNL monologues. More often than not there’s some actor reading a monologue that was obviously written for him, delivered with barely a shred of humor. That obviously wasn’t the case on Saturday. Watch the first half here:

Funny, but that actually seems pretty tame, doesn’t it? What NBC didn’t post on it’s website was the second half of the monologue that featured him stripping down to a Lil Orphan Annie dress and lip-syncing “Tomorrow” while telling jokes through a bulletin board. If you watch close;y, you even get to see the bright pink briefs that he has on. Check it out here, assuming it doesn’t get removed.

Why wouldn’t NBC keep that on their website?

In case you didn’t get enough, here’s Zach’s monologue from the first time he hosted the show.

There are very few comedians who can pull off two monologues like that. Maybe five.
