VIDEO: Rebecca Black’s Friday Saved by For Orchestra
In the last couple of weeks it’s been difficult to go anywhere on these Internets without running into something related to Rebecca Black’s “Friday.” You were probably sick of it after the first time you heard it, to say nothing of how you felt after the 100th time someone linked to it.
Out of this whole storm of mediocrity a nice silver lining has emerged. Someone took the song and arranged it for a full orchestra. Check out the solos by the flute and xylophone:
The song is performed by the group For Orchestra, which arranges popular songs to be performed by full orchestras. The group’s website boasts more than 50 of these arrangements, though none of the others have the accompanying music videos to go along with them. So, finally, something good came out of all of this Rebecca Blackness. Now, please, make it stop.
