Without President Richard Nixon’s unexpected diplomatic visit to the People’s Republic of China in 1972, the first by a sitting U.S. president, we may never have been able to enjoy THIS.

Ladies and gentlemen, Twelve Girls Band and some older folks from Changsha, Hunan Province perform Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” on Hunan TV, broadcast out to hundreds of millions of people.

Lady Gaga has to see this, and surely she’ll be over the moon. How incredible is globalization? How amazing is it that people so far away from Gaga’s home, speaking a language that resembles not Gaga’s own, could produce a cover of “Bad Romance” so unique and special and play it for millions?
