A Really, REALLY Big Night For Gay Rights Apparently

Tammy Baldwin became the nation’s first openly gay senator. A constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage failed in Minnesota, as Maine and Maryland became the first two states to accept marriage equality by popular vote (it leads in Washington, where it was too close to call). President Obama, the staunchest LGBT ally ever in the Oval Office, won handily.

How historic was this night for gay rights? Well, according to Fox Nation, it’s now apparently perfectly legal to do this to straight people:
